1. Store operator and application of these terms

The Janutex online store delivers products to private individuals and companies in Finland and in the European Union. These ordering and delivery terms (”terms”) apply to all orders placed in the online store.

Janutex reserves the right to change these terms at any time. Before placing an order, the customer must read and accept the terms in force at the time.

The online store may contain links to third-party websites. Janutex is not responsible for the content of external sites.

2. Customer account and personal data

Placing an order does not require registration. Customer information requested in connection with an order is used solely for delivering the order and resolving any related questions. All information is handled confidentially.

Purchases may only be made by persons of full legal capacity. Janutex reserves the right to approve the customer before delivery.

3. Ordering and product availability

Products are ordered in the online store by adding them to the shopping cart and confirming the order at checkout.

Orders are normally processed on weekdays within 3 days of ordering. Product availability may vary; if a product is unavailable, our customer service will contact you.

4. Prices and payment methods

All prices in the online store include Finnish value added tax (VAT 25.5 %), unless stated otherwise.

Payment is processed securely through Paytrail.

5. Delivery methods and costs

Orders within Finland are delivered by Posti (general delivery terms) or can be collected free of charge from the Janutex store at Rapparintie 6a, 00660 Helsinki.

Orders to other EU countries are delivered by our carrier partners (including DPD, GLS, UPS and PostNord) either to a pickup point or to your home address. Delivery costs are shown at checkout before payment.

6. Right of exchange and return

Consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal in accordance with the EU Consumer Rights Directive and the Finnish Consumer Protection Act, unless stated otherwise.

Please note! The following product groups cannot be returned or exchanged:

Products in the Outlet category

Hygiene products (e.g. pet garments and accessories that cannot be returned for hygiene reasons)

A returned product must be unused, in its original packaging and in resalable condition.

Returns and exchanges can be made by post or directly at the Janutex store at Rapparintie 6a, 00660 Helsinki, Finland.

7. Complaints

If a product is defective or faulty, please contact our customer service without delay. Based on an accepted complaint we will offer a replacement product, a price reduction or cancellation of the purchase.

8. Limitation of liability

Janutex Oy is not liable for indirect damages or delivery delays caused by force majeure.

9. Applicable law and dispute resolution

These terms are governed by Finnish law. Any disputes will primarily be resolved through negotiation. EU consumers may also use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform (ec.europa.eu/odr). If no resolution is reached, disputes will be settled at the District Court of Helsinki.

Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period expires 14 days from the day on which you acquire physical possession of the goods, or of the last item in the case of multiple deliveries.

To withdraw from the contract, use our electronic withdrawal function. You may also notify us by any other unequivocal statement, by email or by post. You may use the model form below, but it is not obligatory.

Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for any supplementary costs arising from your choice of a delivery type other than the least expensive standard delivery we offer), without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed of your decision. We will use the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction unless expressly agreed otherwise; you will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement.

We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent them back. You must send the goods back without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day you communicate your withdrawal. You will bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are liable for any diminished value of the goods only where that results from handling them other than what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.

Exceptions to the right of withdrawal

The right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalised (for example made-to-measure products), nor to sealed goods which are not suitable for return for health-protection or hygiene reasons if the seal has been broken.
