Janutex Recovery Suit for Dogs

The Janutex Recovery Suit is a light, unobtrusive bodysuit designed for dogs and cats recovering from surgery (e.g. spaying or neutering). It offers a soft, comfortable alternative to the traditional plastic cone and helps the animal heal with less stress.

Made of durable, breathable polyester mesh knit (180 g), the suit effectively protects the belly and groin area. It can also be used for other protective needs, such as covering wounds on the flanks or back, and it prevents skin irritation from snow, twigs and debris outdoors.

Recovery suit or cone after surgery?

A plastic cone stops the licking, but it also collides with doorframes, complicates eating and drinking, and stresses many dogs more than the operation did. A recovery suit does the same job differently: a light bodysuit covers the belly and groin so the dog cannot reach the wound, while vision, eating and sleeping stay normal.

It suits recovery from spaying and neutering and other abdominal wounds, and it fits cats as well as dogs. The fabric is a breathable 180 g polyester mesh, so air moves over the wound — which is not the same as a dense fabric that traps heat against it.

Wash at 40 °C, and consider two if recovery will run beyond a few days: one on, one drying. Your vet decides how long protection is needed, but 10–14 days is typical.

Size follows back length, as with the rest of the range. Check the measuring guide — and measure before the operation rather than at the clinic afterwards.
