1. Back length is measured from the withers to the base of the tail.
2. Chest girth is measured around the widest part of the chest, just behind the front legs. Measure the exact girth.
3. Neck girth is measured around the widest part of the neck.
4. Front leg length is measured from the lower chest along the inside of the leg to the wrist. A well-fitting front leg reaches the dog's forearm.
5. Withers are measured from the ground to the shoulder blades of a dog standing square — the point where the neck meets the back.
