Season pants: what to know before you buy

A season typically lasts around three weeks and comes round roughly every six months, so the pants are in use for longer than most people expect. In practice you want two pairs — one on the dog, one in the wash. A single pair makes for a difficult three weeks.

⚠ Season pants keep your home clean, but they do not prevent mating or pregnancy. A bitch in season is not left unsupervised around male dogs, pants or no pants. Worth saying plainly, because the assumption is common.
